Mayor Wallace Hospitalized
Rome Mayor Ronnie Wallace has been admitted to Redmond Regional Medical Center according to sources with the City of Rome.
The Mayor apparently had chest, and arm pain earlier this morning and drove himself to Redmond.
Wallace has had a heart cath that has come back and shown no sign of blockage. According to our sources, he is due to undergo additional testing to be sure he has not had a heart attack.
Mayor Wallace was due to participate in the September 11 memorial this morning. City Manager John Bennett stood in to recite the pledge of Allegiance instead.
**UPDATE 9:22pm: Mayor out of hospital, pain is not thought to be heart related.
