Former Homeless Man Arrested for Broad Street Vandalism.
Rome Police have arrested 37 year old David Randall Howard of a Glover Street Address in connection with the Vandalism of Broad Street last weekend.
According to Rome Police Detective John Glaze, Randall has given police a written statement confessing to the crime.
Apparently Police were led to Howard by tips from other homeless people in the Salvation Army Shelter and around Heritage Park.
Howard had mentioned to others that he was going to “Bust up Rome”. He was apparently tired of being run off from several of the downtown businesses.
Howard was booked into the Floyd County Jail about 6:30pm Friday and charged with 20 counts of Criminal Damage to property in the first degree.
No bail has been set.
