Floyd County PD Chase Suspects Into Chattooga County.
(UPDATED 12/07 8:10am) Floyd County Police chased a green Ford Taurus North on Hwy 27 into Chattooga County Wednesday afternoon.
The incident which occured just after 2pm led officers out of Floyd County on US 27 north to Taylors Ridge in Chattooga County. Scanner Traffic indicated the chase reached speeds exceeding 115 miles per hour.
The suspects, Astrid Pecola Perry and Crystal Lynette McDaniel both of Summerville have been charged with several crimes related to the incident.
Perry is charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude and being a fugitive from justice, reckless driving, theft by shoplifting, possession of marijuana, failure to maintain lane, failure to signal when changing lanes, and driving while unlicensed and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. According to reports, she was also wanted by the Etowah County Alabama Sheriff’s office.
McDaniel has been charged with shoplifting, party to a crime, and possession of marijuana.
Apparently the two shoplifted items such as pocketbooks and health and beauty items.
