Overnight Crime

19 year old arrested for Possession 

19-year-old Zachery Bo Thacker of a Charlton Street address in Rome was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects and underage possession of alcohol following a routine traffic stop in Rome this morning. 

Thacker was a passenger in the vehicle where a marijuana smoking device was located along with evidence of alcohol consumption.  When he got to the jail, officers found three small bags of marijuana in a shoe.

Woman arrested for Burglary 

26 year old Tonya Roberts Trapp was arrested Thursday on a burglary charge. 

She is accused of breaking into a home on the Turkey Mountain Rd. in Armuchee where she and another person supposedly stole items that they could resell for cash. 

She was found in possession of the items at a location on Willow Rd.

Possession of Crack Cocaine

21-year-old Nathaniel Wilfredo Nicholson of a Pennington Avenue address was charged with possession of crack cocaine this morning following his arrest for speeding. 

Nicholson was also cited for not having a license and obstruction of officers.  Details of the case against Nicholson were not available early this morning.

Damage to Taco Bell

An east Floyd County man was busted Thursday after allegedly causing significant damages to the Shorter Avenue Taco Bell Restaurant. 

40-year-old Todd Jeffrey Aycock was charged with criminal damage to property and obstruction of officers. 

 Police say damages to the restaurant exceeded $500 and that Aycock resisted officers with a knife after police confronted him.
