Rome Police Investigate Man Shot Near Barron Stadium.

Rome Police found a man outside of the new entrance of Floyd Medical Center after a call came in to 911 around 4:30am Satrurday that a man was stumbling around the door of the Physicians Center.

When police arrived on the scene, they found an unidentified black male outside of the hospital that had apparently been shot in the arm.

The man told police that he had been shot in the vicinity of Barron Stadium by a Black female.

Officers responded to the shooting scene where they found a vehicle matching the description of the one given by the victim and pulled it over. The vehicle was occupied by two unidentified individuals described as a black male and a black female.

Officers found a gun inside the car that was similar to the caliber of weapon used in the shooting.

The two unidentified occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody by officers; however the investigation is still ongoing.
