Hostage Standoff Ends.
A 14-hour standoff in Bartow County ended just before 7am Saturday morning.
Michael Ray Horton surrendered peacefully at an apartment complex in Cartersville.
The standoff caused great concern because Horton was holding his 3-year-old daughter hostage. She was not hurt.
Horton is also accused of shooting his estranged wife Friday night. She escaped the home and is now in guarded condition.
Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap says Horton surrendered after talking to his mother and wife on the phone.
