GBI Investigating Floyd County Officer.

RomeNewswire has confirmed that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation into one of the Floyd County Police department’s officers.

According to our sources and confirmed by Floyd County’s Police Chief Bill Shiflett, one of the Floyd County investigators, Dallas Battle has been accused of inappropriate conduct while on duty and has been placed on administrative leave.

The GBI has been looking into the incident since last Friday and Chief Shiflett says he is not sure how long the investigation will take. Shiflett says, he called in the GBI when he learned of the accusations.

Battle is involved in the Harper/Reynolds investigation. That could prove troublesome if Battle is found to have done something wrong.
