Jones Attorneys Argue Before Supreme Court Monday.
While lawmakers in Atlanta wrangle over funding for the Georgia Capital Defenders program, attorneys for admitted quadruple murderer Jerry William Jones will be arguing before the Georgia Supreme Court today.
Jones has admitted to killing his girlfriends parents, one of their daughters and his own 10 month old baby during a crime spree that also involved a triple kidnapping in the Ranger community of Gordon County 39 months ago.
Attorneys will argue a number of procedural issues impacting the death penalty phase of this trial. Attorneys want to suppress evidence and statements and also want to bar imposition of the death penalty, supposedly because the indictment against Jones did not specify aggravating circumstances surrounding the crimes.
