C’mon Take A Free Ride, RTD’s Free Thursday
(City PR) It’s been said that there are no free rides or free lunches, but on Thursday, April 26 both will be offered at the Rome Transit Department’s Annual Rider Appreciation Day. In commemoration of Georgia Cities Week, RTD is hosting this event at the Midtown Transit Station in conjunction with a Transportation Expo.
This event is intended to show appreciation to the loyal passengers of RTD and introduce new passengers to their services. RTD will be offering free rides all day and will offer free lunch from 11am-2pm at the Midtown Station.
The Transportation Expo will showcase community services involving transportation, safety, and health. Public service vehicles will also be on display, allowing visitors to see first-hand the vehicles that bring such a high quality of life to this community.
This event is free and is sponsored by the Rome-Floyd Planning Department, Rome-Floyd Citizens Advisory Committee on Transportation, and the Rome Transit Department.
