4th Of July Fireworks Show To Go On.

By RomeNewswire • on June 25, 2007

Romans will be able to enjoy the annual fireworks display this year after all according to Rome Parks and Recreation Director Richard Garland.

There had been some discussion about canceling this year’s show due to the lack of rain and dry conditions that could pose a fire danger.

Garland says if they did not have the annual show, it could possible create a situation where hundreds of people would shoot their own fireworks instead of the one big supervised display at Ridge Ferry Park.

This years July 4th celebration will be at Ridge Ferry Park with gates opening at 5pm for a kids carnival. Fireworks will begin about 9:30pm.
