Police Search For Suspect In North Rome Shooting, Victim Jailed.

24 year old Shalamar Cunningham of a Cliffview Drive address was shot in the leg Wednesday, treated at the Floyd Medical Center and then he was taken to jail on an aggravated assault charge that stemmed from an incident earlier this month.

Rome police says Cunningham was shot in a leg following a dispute with someone who police believe he was acquainted with near the intersection of Superba and Reynolds in north Rome around 1:30.

Police have not disclosed whether or not they think the shooting was related to the incident earlier this month.

Police do have the identity of a suspect in connection Cunningham’s shooting but no arrests have been made.
