Crane Victim Retains Well Known Summerville Attorney.

A new construction crane is expected to be in Rome tomorrow to resume work on the four story DLS Financial office building at Turner McCall and North Broad.

Meanwhile, Patricia Ross of Lindale, who’s car was crushed by the falling crane at the site Monday afternoon, has hired Bobby Lee Cook to represent her in any possible litigation that might arise from the accident.

Ross walked away from the wreck but was still complaining of head and back pain Tuesday.

OSHA investigators were on the scene Tuesday but indicated that it could take months to determine a cause for the accident.  The crane was moving steel beams at the four story office building when something went wrong and the crane flopped across N. Broad.

The crane operator still has not been identified and it is not clear whether or not he was significantly injured.  He was taken to the Floyd Medical Center as was Ms. Ross
