Accident Spills Logs Onto Ga 20, Blocks Two Lanes Of Traffic
Police are still investigating an accident that blocked the two East bound lanes of Georgia Highway 20 Tuesday afternoon.
According to officers, a Dodge truck driver by Bose Hudgins of Rome struck a pick-up truck carrying a load of logs near the intersection of Barker Road and Highway 20. The impact scattered logs in the far eastbound lane of the roadway.
No one was injured in the collision and according to Floyd County police, Hudgins has been cited with failure to stop at a stop sign.
More charges could be added following an investigation into the crash.
