Kitchen Fire Evacuates Biscuit Bucket

An electrical short caused diners to be evacuated from the Biscuit Bucket restaurant on Redmond Road Tuesday morning.

About 8:15 firefighters responded to a fire that had ignited in the electrical wiring near a gas line that was connected to a fryer in the kitchen.

According to the Rome Fire Department, the fire was out upon arrival.

Officials shut off the power to the building and advised the business to have the outlet repaired before reconnecting the power to the facility.

No one was injured in the fire and biscuit bucket officials were not sure how long they would be closed making the repairs.
