Locals Gather To Pay Tribute To 9/11 Victims, Public Servants
Romans gathered Tuesday in the plaza of the law enforcement center for a ceremony that honored those who gave their lives in the September 11th terror attacks and those still serving the public.
The Rome Fire Department Pipe and Drum Corp. marched across the bridge and led the formation of representatives from the Fire Department, Police, EMS, 911, and branches of the US military.
The gathered crowd heard from State Senator Preston Smith as well as other public officials who praised the men and woman in public service roles and remembered those who have died.
