Area Near Desoto Avenue Evacuated Due To Gas Leak
The Rome Fire Department evacuated the area near Desoto Avenue and North Second due to a gas leak midday Wednesday.
According to officials, workers struck the line with a lawnmover.
Atlanta Gas was called to the scene and stopped the leak within about 30minutes.
