City Suspends Wine Pouring At Prickly Pear/Alley

In a move that was not unexpected, the Full City Commission agreed to pull the wine pouring license from downtown establishments the Alley and the Prickly pear Monday.

The action came after a special meeting of the Alcohol control commission prior to the full commission meeting.

The commission had previously pulled the businesses’ liquor license last month.

The effective date on the wine revocation will be October 1st and run through the end of 2007.

Alley and Prickly Pear owner Doug Pedrick has filed a suit in federal court claiming that he was denied due process in the ACC’s first hearing.

Pedrick is accused of purchasing wine and liquor in Bartow County but selling it in Floyd County.
