Several SPLOST Project Bids Being Reviewed

Engineering services for several SPLOST projects have been bid out and are under review according to Rome Public Services Chief Kirk Milam.

Milam says one project involves a couple of right turn lanes at quadrants of the Shorter-Redmond intersection while a second project involves a new access road to Rome High and Rome Middle schools off North Avenue.

Milam did not offer members of Rome’s Public Works committee any kind of timetable as it relates to actual construction of either project.
