Levy Gets Approval For 2 Townhouses
Rome’s Historic Preservation Commission and redeveloper Ira Levy continue to work through conflicts over levy’s plans to take down the old Top Hat Formal Wear building. The move would make way for townhouses that would be located above first floor retail space at Third Avenue and Broad Street.
The Commission did vote Wednesday to approve plans to construct two of the seven units that would be located on Third Avenue, behind the Top Hat building. Levy wants to construct the buildings as he sells them.
