DOT/City Working To Improve Traffic Flow On Second Avenue and Broad Street

The Department of Transportation and workers from the city of Rome’s Electrical department are retiming the traffic signal at the intersection of Broad Street and Second Avenue.

As reported here first one week ago, the installation of a new signal caused the light to snarl traffic in both directions on Second Avenue.

City Manager John Bennett said the area also lost its progressive movement.

According to officials, when the retiming of the light is complete, traffic flow should improve on Second Avenue.
