NW Georgia Receives 75k Grant For BioFuels

Congressman Phil Gingrey has revealed that $75,000 in federal grant money from the Appalachian Regional Commission will help establish the Northwest Georgia Clean Cities Coalition.

The Clean Cities Coalition is a joint effort of the Coosa Valley and North Georgia Regional Development Centers.

Part of the project involves installation of four biofuels pumps at high volume retail outlets.

In addition to the funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission, other federal sources will provide $20,000 and local participants will contribute $130,000 — bringing the total project funding to $225,000.
