Rome Man Struck And Killed On US 27 Thursday Morning
A pedestrian was struck and killed on US Highway 27 near Walker Mountain Road Thursday morning.
According to Rome/ Floyd 911, the call came in around 1:30am and Police and fire personnel were dispatched to the scene.
Police say 22 year old David Matthew McGlaughn of a Cave Spring Street address was struck and killed by Renee Baldwin of Cedartown. Officers say that Baldwin was not at fault in the accident.
Sources tell RomeNewswire that McGlaughn was possibly intoxicated when he leaped in front of the on coming vehicle and was struck and killed.
