Defense Of Rome-War Between The States encampment Underway

Soldiers gathered on the banks of the Coosa River Saturday prepared to defend the city as politicians held an impromptu press conference to discuss the situation.
The defense of Rome has begun and hundreds turned out to take in the sights.
Saturday was also the first chance many Romans got to ride the new Roman Holiday, which will be taking a big part in this year’s celebration.
Heritage Holidays are in full swing as spectators enjoyed the beautiful weather and perfect temperatures.
Festivities continue through the end of this month and culminate with the Chiaha Harvest fair on October 27 and 28 at Ridge Ferry Park.
