West 3rd Development Now Close To Reality?

It looks as if the West 3rd Development could be closer to reality.

A development headed by Roman and DOT board member David Doss and Tommy Hacket has received approval from the Rome Redevelopment Committee to build a mixed use development that would include condominiums that will sit on a two story parking deck along with office and retail space

Doss was instrumnetal in the funding of the pedestrian walking bridge to link the downtown area to West 3rd. At the time of the bridge funding, there was a proposed development of the West 3rd area that did not include Doss. Those plans fell through.

The issue now heads to the full City Commission.

Check back here for the complete story shortly.
