RACA Hosts Chiaha Artists Preview
Rome Area Council for the Arts is hosting the first annual Chiaha Harvest Fair Artists Preview Exhibition. The exhibit will be on display through Friday, October 26, at the RACA Gallery, 248 Broad Street, in historic downtown Rome. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. All of the work from the Chiaha Preview Exhibit will be available for purchase at the Chiaha Harvest Fair which is Saturday-Sunday, October 27-28. Festival hours are 10 am-5 pm on both days. The Chiaha Preview Exhibit includes 85 works by 33 artists: H. T. Alford, Marsha Austin, Tisa Barton, Andi Beyer, Colleen Beyer, Gene Billian, Patricia Caldwell, Cathy Campbell, Janda Canalis, Joe Cook, Johnnie Dobson, Penny Dobson, John Elder, Diana Gore Forster, Donald Freking, Doylene French, Kristen Gerspacher, Ann Greeson, Marie Huston, Lynn Kent, Sue Hamler Lee, Susan Longatti-Schuepbach, June Manis, Vickie McKenzie, Anita Finley Osborn, Dwain Rutledge, Melissa Rutledge, Martha Sandlin, James Schroeder, Jim Shores, Johnny Stephenson, Shelby West, and Julie Windler.
The exhibit features a variety of media, including pottery, pastels, acrylic, wood carving, basket weaving, photography, sculpture, weaving, stained glass, jewelry, folk art and mixed media.
