Man Charged With False Statements
45 year old Jose Carrizal of a Burnett Ferry Rd. address was arrested Wednesday, charged with identity fraud and making false statements.
Rome police said that Carrizal used false information to obtain identification papers in Rome back in February of 2004.
It was not clear what brought the issue to light yesterday, but Carrizal was taken into custody Wednesday morning and remained in jail overnight on the felony charges.
