Cherokee Nation Chief In Rome Today
Cultural and economic ties to northwest Georgia are expected to be issues when Cherokee Nation Chief Chad Smith addresses the closing session of the Trail of Tears Association conference at the Forum in Rome today.
Smith is also expected to help the Daughters of the American Revolution present a memorial on the Ross Ridge Trail this afternoon and will be the guest of honor at a reception at the home of Dean and Ansley Saville in Rome tonight.
