SPLOST Projects Moving Along

Members of the SPLOST Committee got an update on a number of projects from City and County leaders Tuesday night.

Assistant Rome City Manager Sammy Rich says work on a secondary access road for Rome High School is progressing. .Floyd County Manager Kevin Poe said surveying for the purchase of right-of-way for frontage roads on Highway 411 is about 85% complete. Recreation Authority Director Richard Garland says all of the rec projects are moving along, save one, and nothing can be done on converting the Marine Armory to a new Rec headquarters until the Marines leave.

Area residents can check the progress on all of the projects by going to www.floydcountyga.org and clicking on the penny.
