Oak Hill To Host “Candles And Carols” Christmas Celebration
Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum will host its annual “Candles and Carols” Christmas celebration Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7-8. The event runs from 6-9 p.m. each day and traditionally draws guests from throughout the region with its mixture of entertainment for the entire family. Admission is $2. Berry College’s award-winning gospel choir, “In His Name,” will perform Friday evening, Dec. 7, at The Martha Berry Museum. Other highlights will include beautifully lit drives, local hand-bell and vocal choirs at The Martha Berry Museum, a live nativity scene and shopping at the Oak Hill Gift Shop. Families with children will not want to miss the petting zoo, children’s craft activities, face painting, cider and cookies, and Santa Claus. In addition, retired Oak Hill director and accomplished actor Dan Biggers will continue his tradition of telling Christmas stories at The Martha Berry Museum.
Parking will be available at the Harbin Clinic, which is located adjacent to Oak Hill at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Redmond Road. Shuttles will be available to transport guests to and from the parking area. Carpooling is highly recommended.
