ACC Recommends 4 Day Suspensions For 13 Restaurants

By RomeNewswire • on November 27, 2007

13 restaurants in Rome could take a major financial hit after selling alcohol to underage persons. The Alcohol Control Commission recommended 4 day suspensions for each establishment last night.

Steve Smith from Applebees argued that the four day across the board recommendation was not necessarily appropriate. Smith also argued that entire staffs suffer while the one person who made the illegal sale, and was terminated, can move on to another business and get another job.

The full city commission will take up each case on December 3rd.
