Landfill Will Not Be Privatized

The Joint Solid Waste Commission in Rome and Floyd County will not privatize operations at the Walker Mountain Landfill .

The Solid Waste Commission also got a proposal from county Public Works Director Michael Skeen for a significant overhaul of operations at the Recycling Center, including 6 day a week, 12 hour a day hours open to the public.
