By RomeNewswire • on November 27, 2007

Georgia’s Rome will usher in a new Christmas tradition next week with a new community-wide, free event. The Christmas Candlelight Concert will be held Tuesday, December 4 in Historic Downtown Rome.

This event will feature a community choir comprised of community, church, and school groups accompanied by a large orchestra. The choir will process by candlelight from City Hall down Broad Street and into The Forum Civic Center. Once inside The Forum, the choir will join the orchestra and narrators for traditional Christmas music and the reading of the Christmas story.

The Christmas Candlelight Concert processional will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will depart from City Hall, located at 601 Broad Street. The public is welcome to view the processional along Broad Street and enter The Forum through the main entrance.
