Gateway To Rome To Be “PORTO FUTURUS”
The Rome area Council for the arts and the Gateway to Rome project committee announced the winning design for the sculpture that will sit at the Ledbetter interchange.
The winning team is E. Wright Ledbetter, Bill Jones, DeVon Micheals, Derek Bell and Corie Dempsey. The Design team came up with the design titled PORTO FUTURUS.
E Wright Ledbetter said he is thrilled to take part in such a monumental project.
RACA Chairman Alan Bell said this is an exciting opportunity to build a meaningful and lasting icon marking the gateway to Rome. By the way, this announcement came on the last full day for Bell who will be taking a new position in the Atlanta area.
