911 Experiences Radio Problems, Dispatching Fire Dept Via Portable Radios
Dispatchers at 911 had to dispatch all fire services via portable radios Thursday morning after an unspecified problem caused their radio to stop working.
According to sources, 911 dispatchers were able to hear the radio traffic but were unable to transmit.
The is just the latest in a string of equipment problems with the county’s new 911 system that was installed last year.
