Missing Female Found OK

Floyd County police responded to the area of Preacher Smith Road Thursday after a call came in to Rome/Floyd 911 that an elderly female had been missing in the area.

According to sources, the female had wondered off before and family members were concerned that she had done so again.

Floyd County officers searched a steep wooded area near the home but were unable to find the female. EMA volunteers were called in to assist with the search but before they arrived, family members discovered the female had been picked up earlier in the day by hospice and was not in any danger.
