Levy Wants To Add Condos Above Hotel Expansion
The five story expansion of the Hawthorn Suites Hotel downtown, could be topped by two story’s of condominiums.
Developer Ira Levy is pitching the new plans to the Historic Preservation Commission and the Rome Floyd Planning Commission. Levy hopes to get quick approval for the latest plans so that final arrangements for a new parking deck on the river can be completed.
He wants to add more than 50 rooms to the hotel, plus 12 - 14 condo’s on the 6th and 7th floors of a new building that will go up on the river downtown.
