Man Charged With Taking Store Deposits, Woman Charged With Making False Theft Reports
A 23 year old Roman was arrested Wednesday on theft by taking charges. Roberto Ramon of a Leafmore Drive address in west Rome was accused of taking a pair of deposits from the Bestway Rentals company of Rome. The two deposits, which were supposed to have been made January 4th and 5th, totaled more than $3,900.
54 year old Melissa Faye Meeler of a Male St. address was arrested Wednesday on two counts of theft by conversion and false report of a crime. She is accused of leasing a computer, a home theatre system, a DVD player, an LCD television set and a digital camcorder from Bestway Rental and the Rent-a-Center in Rome then filing a false report of the theft of the items which were valued in excess of $7,000
