Teen Allegedly Threatens Family Members, Sets Off Smoke Bombs

Floyd County police were called to a home outside Cave Spring overnight when a teen threatened a family member and at least one other person using a shotgun, then set off smoke bombs inside the home while threatening to blow the house up.

17 year old James Ironhorse Tate was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

He was booked at the Floyd County jail just before 1:30 this morning and is being held pending a bond hearing
