Incident Closes East Rome Wal-Mart

The East Rome Wal-Mart was closed for around 15 minutes Saturday Afternoon after what sources advised was violent threat towards the store.
According to Rome Police Lt. Paul Greene, Rome Police and Fire units responded around 3:45 PM to an undisclosed incident. Fire Units temporarily blocked the Callier Springs Rd. entrance for around 10 minutes until the all-clear was given and the store was reopened as of 4:00 PM.
While Wal-Mart employees did not comment on the incident, Lt. Greene commended Wal-Mart on following thier emergency procedure well and that “no devices were found.”
The incident is still under investigation.
