Man Arrested In Aragon Murder, Suspect Identified In Polk Bank Robbery
Murder charges have been filed against Calvin Frederick Jr., who is alleged to have stabbed his wife Jennifer to death this past Saturday morning.
Frederick was arrested a short time after the incident at the Fredericks home on Flint Hill Rd. outside of Aragon.
The Fredrick’s baby was in the mother’s arms during the assault but was not hurt.
The victim died at the Polk Medical Center about an hour and a half after the attack.
Also out of Polk County, authorities have identified the man who held up the First National Bank of Polk County as Kevin Sams of Floyd County.
He is expected to face federal charges and will make a first appearance hearing in the US District Court in Rome this afternoon.
He was arrested less than 15 minutes after the Friday afternoon hold up at the West Avenue office of the bank.
