Rome Wants To Move Primary Water Intake On The Etowah
Rome is seeking help from the federal Government for a major water project.
Rome water and sewer committee chairman Buzz Wachstster says he went to Washington asking for $19 million to make a new water intake on the Etowah, the city’s primary water source, while improving the Oostanauala intake as well.
The water and sewer committee also approved new odd-even water use that has been recommended by the state.
Citizens who can get an online education about water conservation will be allowed to water on a limited basis this spring.
