Truck Theft, Aggravated Assault And Shots Fired Into Car In Monday’s Crime Reports
26 year old Travis Lamar Floyd of a Garden Lakes address was arrested Sunday on charges of motor vehicle theft. Floyd is alleged to have taken a Dodge pick up truck from a woman who lives on Maple Rd. in Rome. He was stopped and taken into custody at S. Broad and Myrtle Street Sunday evening.
48 year old Rene Rodriguez Medrano of a west Rome address was charged with aggravated assault under provisions of the Family Violence Act. Medrano is alleged to have used a knife to cut a woman across a hand during an incident that is alleged to have occurred back in July of 2007.
22 year old Brandon Lee Montgomery of a north Rome address was charged with aggravated assault Sunday night. Montgomery is accused of firing shots into an automobile being driven by a Roman man in the area of Grover and Nixon back on the 18th of March. Several shots struck the vehicle however the driver apparently was not hurt.
