Hit And Run Leaves Victim’s Leg Entraped

A late night wreck left a woman’s leg trapped and Rome Police searching for a hit and run driver.
The wreck occurred around 1:30 AM at the intersection of US Highway 411 and Chateau Dr. The female victim was thought to be uninjured at first but soon found herself to be trapped with her leg pinned in the vehicle. Rome Firefighters had to utilize their Hurst Tool, comonly known as the “Jaws of Life”, to pop the door of the victim’s car door open.
The victim was successfully extricated and was treated for minor injuries.
According to Rome Police Radio Traffic, Police were in search of the suspect vehicle, possibly a Red Mustang.
