Bartow Seeking Consent Order for Illegal Dump
Bartow County officials are working with the Georgia EPD on potential consent agreements that will result in the clean up of the largest illegal dump site in Bartow County.
County Attorney Peter Olsenand Russell Nix of the EPD have each confirmed that consent agreements are in the works, but the deals may be vastly different.
Nix said he could discuss details of the state’s proposed order that could involve removal of more than 80 loads of waste from the site south of Cartersville in a residential neighborhood.
Bartow County Code Enforcement officers discovered the location last June and made three arrests.
