Helicopter Spots Marijuana, Man Busted With Meth

The Governors marijuana Eradication Task Force was flying the sky over Floyd County Thursday and helped discover a small marijuana patch at a home on John Ingram Rd. in Silver Creek.

44 year old Everett Lee Barber who lives at the site where the pot was found from the air, was charged with manufacturing marijuana.

In an unrelated investigation, 48 year old Billy Eugene Bunch of a Shorter Avenue address was arrested in the 400 block of Broad Street and was determined to be carrying items used to manufacture methamphetamines. He told police that he was carrying the item to a person who was cooking meth in exchange for a quantity of finished product.

Bunch was charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
