A suspicious fire has claimed yet another abandoned house in Lindale early Monday morning.

Firefighters from Rome Fire Engine 2, Quint 3, and Car 25 were dispatched around 12:30 AM to Landers Dr. off of Park Ave. after a neighbor called into E-911 stating that she could see smoke and flames that were possibly coming from a nearby house. Engine 2 arrived shortly after to find that the structure was already fully involved and a total loss. Firefighters went on the defense quickly to keep the fire from spreading, eventually making entry into the house to search for anyone who might be inside, though no one was found.

The house abandoned home was a total loss. Tune in Monday morning for exclusive video of the fire from our editor who was on the scene. According to Battalion Chief Rick Stephens, the cause of the fire is unknown yet suspicious. The home had no power running to it.
