Rome Unemployment Drops in April
Floyd County’s unemployment rate two tenths of appoint to5.3% for April.
The ten county Coosa Valley regional rate was also down, by eight tenths of a point to 5.3% in April.
Rome’s rate was the lowest in the middle Coosa Valley with Chattooga County high at 9.4%, Bartow at 6.4%, Gordon at 6.2% and Polk County at 5.5%.
The state labor office says there were 2614 Floyd Countians unemployed but still seeking a job.
