Foot Crushed in Mohawk Industrial Accident

Emergency units have responded to Mohawk Industies on Lavender Dr. Tuesday morning after a worker’s foot was crushed in machinery.

Rome Fire Engine 6 and Rescue 1 along with Redmond EMS responded to the plant at 420 Lavender Dr. around 9:10 AM. According to reports, the worker was injured when his foot was caught in machinery and crushed. Fellow workers were able to remove  the victim from the machinery prior to the arrival of EMS, who subsequently cancelled the response of fire units.

The victim was reportedly concious and alert after the accident.
