Coroners Inquest To Be Held In Inmates Death
According to Coroner Barry Henderson, a Coroners Inquest will be conducted this Thursday into the death of an inmate that was housed at the Floyd County jail.
38 year old inmate Larry Stokes died on March 2nd at Floyd Medical Center after a fight at the jail.
Stokes was serving jail time for trafficking meth and had been at the Floyd County jail since February 14th.
Henderson said that anytime someone dies in custody, a coroners inquest is mandatory.
The inquest will be held Thursday in courtroom B of the Floyd County Superior court.
