Erratic Driver Causes Wreck on Rockmart Hwy.

An erratic driver originally thought to be DUI, turned out not to be after hitting two cars on GA Hwy. 101 Late Tuesday Night.
A driver following the suspect originally reported the vehicle weaving all over the roadway in the area of Rockmart Hwy. at Isbell Rd. As the vehicle approached the city limits, a Rome Police unit headed to intercept, but were only successful after the driver struck two other cars in the area of Haney’s Gas Station around 10:15 PM. The suspect then tried to leave the scene, but citizens were able to block his escape.
Both of the victims vehicles were drivable and no injuries were reported.
